Bodhisattva Avalokiteswarpatmapani

Pala art art of the Srivichai period (around the 14th century)

Currently enshrined at the Bangkok National Museum, the Bodhisattva is a bronze statue with a height of about 63 centimeters. The statue came to the South in 1905, after which it was taken to Bangkok.

In Mahayana Buddhism, the Bodhisattva Avalokiteswara is compassionate to mankind. Avalokiteswara wants to help mankind get rid of samsara first and then go to Nirvana.

"As long as all the sentient beings of the world have not been free from suffering and have not attained bodhicitta, the resolution of the Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva has not yet reached completion."
